Not Again…
Every swaying leaf, assured me of your love,
I have known, but kept evading to save,
An erupted heart, bleeding with aches,
Like the clouds sailing, even in the rains,
Refusing to melt and rain down to the earth.
With the ease of a child, smiling for balloons,
I gave away my heart, and found them in ashes,
Leaving a hole in my chest, filled with smoke,
Black and sticky with clotting blood,
Oozing from the corners, where it was smashed.
With time when it had returned to its place,
There never was a stable moment of solace,
With every breeze, trickled blood,
With every whisper, the tissues shivered,
Spreading tremors of pain through the veins.
The scent of flowers you gave were irresistible,
Gifts and letters you sent were invaluable,
I can see your love in your eyes and words,
So precious it needs an unimpaired heart,
Not one returned from the ashes of bonfires.
One with fires and flames blooming from within,
In which you can burn together as one,
Not this one that’s shivering on breezes,
One which can withstand storms along with you,
Not this one that cannot even feel an ache!
