Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, released a book titled ‘Mallikarjun Kharge – Political Engagement with Compassion, Justice and Inclusive Development’. This book celebrates the life and achievements of the Congress president, Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, marking his five-decade-long political journey.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries who commended Mr. Kharge’s unwavering integrity, hard work, and commitment to his ideology. A short film documenting his life and political path was also showcased, providing a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs he faced.
Edited by Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat and co-edited by Chetan Shinde, the book provides an in-depth look at Mr. Kharge’s political career and his contributions as a social activist, educationist, and leader. It highlights his dedication to labour rights, educational development, and efforts to address social inequities, especially those rooted in caste discrimination.
Mrs. Gandhi, speaking at the event, lauded Mr. Kharge’s adherence to his principles throughout his political career. She emphasized his ability to rise in politics without compromising his ideals, relentless fight for the underprivileged, and dignified approach to political challenges. She remarked on his embodiment of the values envisioned by the founders of modern India, overcoming numerous adversities to serve the nation.
